JACKSON, Miss. | Alex Massie (Pottsboro, Texas) picked up three hits in the final game of the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) series against Jackson State helping the Hornets to a 7-1 victory on Wednesday.
Alabama State (17-24, 9-8 SWAC) pounded out eight hits in the nightcap, and used the arm of
Bailey Greenlee (Snohomish, Wash.) as she went 7.0 innings and allowed one run off three this with six strikeouts. In the first game of the day – the resumption of the suspended game –
Kindall DeRamus (Helena, Ala.) finished 2-for 5 with a pair of RBI, while D
estinee Dixon (Bullard, Texas) hit her second home run of the series.
Jaeda Gardner (Pike Road, Ala.) also finished 2-for-5 with a run scored in the loss.
Alabama State dropped the suspended game 5-4 in 10 innings.

- B1 Jackson State got on the board with a sacrifice fly (2-1, Alabama State).
- T2 | DeRamus added to the Alabama State lead with a sacrifice fly to left (3-1, Alabama State).
- T5 | Alex Preston (Stockton, Calif.) drove home a run with a single to right before Alex Massie (Pottsboro, Texas) drove in another with a single to center (5-1, Alabama State).
- T6 | Dodd reached on an error allowing Gardner to score (6-1, Alabama State).
- T7 | Lauryn Maher (Atoka, Tenn.) scored on a fielding error (7-1, Alabama State).
