Hornets lead the East Division heading into the weekend

MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Alabama State hits the road for the second straight weekend beginning on Friday facing Jackson State in a Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) series. The series begins on Friday night at 6 pm with the second game on Saturday at 3 pm, while it concludes on Sunday at 1 pm in Jackson (Miss.).

Alabama State (20-15, 11-2) enters the weekend after falling in extra innings to 19th-ranked Auburn on Tuesday and lead the East Division by three games in the loss column over Bethune-Cookman and Florida A&M. Meanwhile, Jackson State (18-19, 6-9 SWAC) enters the weekend following a series win at. Home. The two met earlier this season in Montgomery with the Hornets sweeping at the Wheeler-Watkins Baseball Complex.
