MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Alabama State looks to keep pace with Bethune-Cookman atop the East Division of the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) when they host Alabama A&M in a three-game series beginning Friday night at 6 pm. The two teams will play again on Saturday at 6 pm, followed by the final game of the series on Sunday afternoon at 1 pm.
Alabama State (15-14, 7-2 SWAC) is tied atop the conference standings with Bethune-Cookman and have won their previous two conference series at home, both sweeps over Florida A&M and Jackson State. Meanwhile, Alabama A&M (5-18, 3-6 SWAC) is tied for fourth with Mississippi Valley State four games back of the leaders.
