MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Alabama State returns home for its final home series of the season, hosting Mississippi Valley State in a three-game Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) series beginning Friday night at 6 pm. The series will continue with a completion of a game from earlier this season in Itta Bena (Miss.) at 2 pm on Saturday, followed by a regularly scheduled game 45 minutes following the completion and a Sunday game at 1 pm.
Alabama State (24-22, 15-7) will honor their senior class prior to the game on Sunday afternoon.
The two teams met earlier this season in Mississippi, finishing just one game before the lights went out in the sixth inning of game two with the Hornets leading 11-4. Alabama State leads the all-time series 50-22 including 24-10 in Montgomery all-time.

Hunter May (Slidell, La.) returns to action after missing the last four games and is hitting .326 with a team-high 17 doubles, while also hitting five home runs and driving in 38.
- Chris Lewis (Alabaster, Ala.) is hitting .317 on the year and returned to the lineup in a pinch-hitting role against UAB on Tuesday night.
- On the mound, Breon Pooler (Huntsville, Ala.) looks to get back on track following his last two starts. The senior is 7-2 with a 3.58 ERA, while Austin King is 5-1 with a 4.44 ERA and Osvaldo Mendez (Carolina, PR) is 4-2 with a 4.57 ERA.
