MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Alabama State hits the road this weekend for Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) action beginning with Alcorn State on Friday and ending with Mississippi Valley State on Sunday.
 
With just five regular season matches remaining, Alabama State will face the five teams that are separated by just two matches in the standings. This weekend, the Lady Hornets will have the opportunity to move up in the standings as they face two teams that are just one game above them.

Alabama State Notes

• Alabama State earned a draw this weekend against Southern which will prove big in the standings near the end of the year.
• The Lady Hornets sit one game back in the win column of seventh pace, and just two back from fifth heading into the weekend.
• Six different players have scored goals this year for Alabama State with Camila Jimenez, Iliana Casiano, and Kassandra Schoen each scoring three.
• Jimenez leads the Lady Hornets with 11 points, including five assists.
• Lauryn Starwood has recorded 101 saves this season for the Lady Hornets, placing her in the top five in the nation.

Alcorn State Notes

• The Braves have two non-conference wins this season including East Mississippi and Tougaloo by a combined score of 23-0.
• Nine different players have scored goals for the Braves led by Jailyn Ward with four, while she has scored eight points.
• Jaidyn Matheu leads the team with three assists and 11 points.
• The Braves are looking for their first win against Alabama State since 2011 although the two teams tied last year's match.

Mississippi Valley State Notes

• The Devilettes have one non-conference victory this season, defeating Belhvane back on September 14.
• Five different players have scored goals for Mississippi Valley State, with three scoring two goals each – Jaslyn Sanders, Raheal Aka-Ety, and Pryce Freeman.
• The Devilettes are looking for their first win in the series since 2015.
