TALLAHASSEE, Fla. | Abdiqadir Mohamed earned All-Conference honors at the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Cross Country Championships with a third-place finish to help the Hornets finish fifth overall on Monday morning.

Mohamed ran a time of 27:21.50, finishing just in front of Thierry Garcon of Prairie View A&M. He finished just behind Kelvin Kipkemboi of Alcorn State (26:16.40) and Jose Gonzalez of Texas Southern (26:53.40).

Jon Coulter finished 10th overall with a time of 27:38.40 to earn second team honors for the Hornets. Meanwhile,
Amos Beadle finished 16th overall with a time of 28:31.50, followed by
Khabeeba Mills with a time of 29:33.20.

Alabama State finished fifth overall with 106 points, finishing just behind UAPB in fourth and Alcorn State in third. Prairie View A&M finished second, just behind eventual champion Texas Southern.
