MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Six different players scored in double figures for Alabama State as the Hornets rolled by Oglethorpe 115-51 on Tuesday night inside the Dunn-Oliver Acadome.

D'Ante Bass led Alabama State (1-2) scored 18 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in his first game of the season, recording his first career double-double.
Micah Octave added 17 while
TJ Madlock, the reigning Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Player of the Week, added 16.

Sean Smith and
Amarr Knox scored 15 each off the bench, while
CJ Hines added 11.

Alabama State finished the night shooting 53.9 (41-of-76) percent from the floor and 37.5 (12-of-32) percent from beyond the arc. They also shot 77.8 (21-of-27) percent from the free throw line, while winning the rebounding battle 58-27.

How It Happened
- Alabama State trailed for just 46 seconds in the game before taking the lead after four lead changes and holding on to it for 38:53.
- Oglethorpe led by two with 18:47 to play in the first half before a jump shot by Octave gave Alabama State the lead for good with 17:38 to play in the half.
- The Hornets led by 18 half and built a 64-point lead with 38 seconds to play in the game.
- Alabama State dominated in every category, including points in the paint (58-10).
Alabama State Notes
- The 100 points scored by the Hornets is the second time under head coach Tony Madlock (101 against Huntingdon last Halloween). The Hornets hit the mark with 6:13 remaining in the game.
- Prior to that contest, the Hornets had not scored 100 points in a game since December 30, 2015, against Fort Valley State (105-99).
- The 115 points scored is the most since the 1993-94 season when the Hornets defeated Troy (115-98).
- Ten different players scored on the night for the Hornets.
