GAINESVILLE, Fla. | Alabama State will send four student-athletes into competition at the NCAA South Regional hosted by Florida on Friday morning.
The women will compete in a 6k race beginning at 8:30 a.m. (ET), while the men will compete in a 10k at 9:30 a.m. (ET).

The women will send
Shamia Jones and
Taisha Benjamin, a pair of all-conference performers, into action in the 6k race. Jones finished third in the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) championships with a time of 19:54.30 to earn First Team honors, while Benjamin finished with a time of 20:10.80 to finish ninth overall and earn Second Team honors.
The men will send
Abdiqadir Mohamed and
Jon Coulter into the 10k race on Friday morning. Mohamed earned First Team honors with a third-place finish at the conference meet with a time of 27:21.50, while Coulter finished 10th overall with a time of 27:38.40 to earn second team honors
