@BamaStateBowl Moves Into Three-Way Tie For First At SWAC Round Up II

D'LBERVILLE, Miss. | Despite a 3-2 day, the Alabama State University women's bowling pulled into a three-way tie for first place to sit 7-3 overall at the SWAC Round Up II.

The Lady Hornets are tied with Southern University and Jackson State heading into Sunday's final day of competition. Prairie View, Florida A&M, and Alabama A&M are tied for fourth with a 5-5 record followed by Texas Southern (3-7) and Grambling State (1-9).

Alabama State opened the day narrowly falling to Alabama A&M 919-915 and to Texas Southern, 884-882. The Lady Hornets rebounded with wins over Prairie View (980-830), Southern University (922-855) and Grambling State (838-742).

Savanna Razor still leads the overall individual standings with a 215 average with Lyric O'Steen in third place with a 200.42. Bailee Chapman is 12th with a 188.91 average Alahna Degruy has a 184.38 followed by Zoe Moore with a 175.29 norm and Emani Davis with a 174.09 average.

Razor also sits on top of the SWAC Round Up II standings with a 210.20 average followed by O'Steen with a 190.20 average in 10 games. Chapman is 22nd (182.33) and Davis is 24 (168.78). Dugruy is 27th (184.25) to round out ASU's top five at the SWAC Round Up II.

Southern University remains atop the combined standings with a 17-7 record followed by Alabama State with a 15-9 mark. Texas Southern and Prairie View are tied for third with 14-10 records while Jackson State is 13-11. Florida A&M (12-12, Alabama A&M 10-14 and Grambling State (1-23) round out the standings.

The SWAC regular season champion will be crown following day three of the SWAC Round Up II on Sunday morning.
