BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- The Southwestern Athletic Conference has tabbed Alabama State's Kristofer Johnson and Urska Velec for SWAC Men's and Women's Tennis Weekly Honors for their outstanding performances during this past week of competition.
 
Johnson went 1-0 at No. 4 singles while contributing a win that would clinch a 4-3 win over Mercer. His only other singles match was unfinished in the third set against Alabama A&M.
 
Player of the Week
Velec's win at No. 3 singles against Alabama A&M clinched a 4-0 win for the Lady Hornets. She won her match in straight sets winning 6-0 and 6-2.
