ATLANTA | Alabama State University women's bowling team rallied back from an early loss to defeat Jackson State and claim the TNBA Bowling Invitational.
 
The Lady Hornets entered the day as the second seed and dropped the opening match to top seed Jackson State 1-4.
 
Alabama State rebounded to defeat 4-2 to move back for a rematch with Jackson State for the tournament title.
 
The Lady Hornets won 4-1 over the Tigers to win the tournament championship and finish with an 8-4 overall record on the weekend.
 
Savannah Razor placed seventh in the individual standings as the top Lady Hornet with a 184.4 average. Bailee Chapman claimed 15th with a 178.6 average, followed by Lyric O'Steen in 21st with a 166.2 average. Emani Davis had a 158.2 average to stand in 28th.
 
Alabama State returns to the lanes to compete in the 2023 SWAC Bowling Championships on march 24-26 in Arlington, Texas.
