Bailey Greenlee garnered three of the Southwestern Athletic Conference's top softball honors and five Alabama State University Lady Hornets earned all-conference laurels. The SWAC postseason awards were announced at the conference's pre-tournament banquet on Monday, May 8, 2023.

For the second straight year, DeRamus was selected he SWAC Player and Hitter of the Year while Greenlee was named the SWAC Pitcher of the Year. DeRamus and Greenlee also added First-Team All-SWAC Honors to their list and are joined on the first team by teammates
Jaeda Gardner (2B) and

DeRamus adds to her honor, which includes two-time SWAC Hitter of the Week and Preseason Player of the Year and 2022 First-Team All-SWAC and Player of the Year laurels. DeRamus leads the conference in on base percentage (.542/16th NCAA); hits (62), runs scored (52), and walks (38) while ranking second in stolen bases (42/3rd NCAA), stolen bases per game (0.894th NCA and at bats (149). The Helena, Ala., native is fifth in the SWAC in batting average (.416) and RBI (38), sixth in OPS (1.079); third in triples (5).
Greenlee has had a banner season in the circle, posting an 18-8 record with a 3.02 ERA, earning SWAC Pitcher of the Week two times this season. The Snohomish, Wash., native was a 2022 Second-Team All-SWAC and a 2023 Preseason All-SWAC honoree. Greenlee is tied for first in the SWAC in saves (4/25th NCAA) and leads the SWAC in wins (18/22nd NCAA), and strikeouts/7 innings (6.8). She ranks second in the SWAC in strikeouts looking (39) and innings pitched 143.0, third in opponent batting average (.229), and fifth in ERA (2.89). Greenlee posted a season-high 14 strikeouts against South Carolina State in the HBCU Celebration Classic.
Gardner started in 48 of 48 games hitting .360 with 45 hits, two doubles, 23 RBI, and 23 stolen bases. Gardner ranks fourth in the SWAC in hits (45) and is third on the team and just outside of the SWAC top 10 with a .360 batting average. Gardner tied for third in the SWAC in sacrifice flies with four.
Myers batted .440, ranking second in the SWAC and 17th in the NCAA and her .495 on base percentage is 4th in the SWAC. The Brownsville, Tenn., native also ranks second in the SWAC with 12 sac hits and is tied for sixth with 23 steals. Gardner hit .436 in SWAC play (T6th) and ranked eighth with 14 steals and second with eight sac hits.
Denby garnered 2023 SWAC Player of the Week one-time while leading the SWAC with 14 home runs (28th NCAA) and home runs per game (0.31/31st NCAA). The Murrieta, Calif., native ranked second in the SWAC in slugging percentage (.679); fourth in the SWAC in RBI/game (0.87); fifth in sacrifice flies (3); third in runs scored (36), fourth with 145 at bats and 10th in with 18 stolen bases.
Alabama State University opens the 2023 SWAC Tournament as the No. 1 seed out the East Division against Alcorn State on Tuesday, May 9 at 6 p.m.
