Southern University went 4-3 followed by Jackson State (3-4), Grambling State (1-6) and Florida A&M (0-7)

On Saturday, Alabama State earned wins over Jackson State (963-889), Florida A&M (829-743), and Southern (992-924) and fell to rival Alabama A&M (827-797).

Alabama State went 2-1 on Sunday, dropping it opening match to Texas Southern (922-800) before closing strong with wins over Grambling State (903-717) and Prairie View A&M (858-847).
