SAN ANTONIO, Texas | Alabama State University bowling finished in a four-way tie for first at weather shortened SWAC West Round on Saturday and Sunday.
 
The Hornets are tied with Texas Southern, Alabama &M and Prairie View A&M with identical 5-2 records over the weekend.  
 
Southern University went 4-3 followed by Jackson State (3-4), Grambling State (1-6) and Florida A&M (0-7)
 
On Saturday, Alabama State earned wins over Jackson State (963-889), Florida A&M (829-743), and Southern (992-924) and fell to rival Alabama A&M (827-797).
 
Alabama State went 2-1 on Sunday, dropping it opening match to Texas Southern (922-800) before closing strong with wins over Grambling State (903-717) and Prairie View A&M (858-847).
 
The Lady Hornets a tournament best 175.2 average per game and finished second with 6,142 pin falls.
 
Savanna Razor is the top Hornet, rolling a 183.4 average with 1,282 total pins.
 
Alahna Degruy, who is in 12^th place, had a 179.71 average with 1,254 total pins, followed by Lyric Osteen in 14^th with a 175.43 average and 1,228 pin falls.
 
Freshman Payton Hartgrove is 19^th with a 169.57 average and 1,187 pin falls and Alexzandria Stewart is 37^th with a 171.5 average and 686 pins over four matches.  Emily Price is 41^st with a 169.7 average over three matches.
 
Prairie View's Jayda Gordon holds the top spot in the overall individual standing with a 195.14 average and 1,355 pin falls. Southern's Jailyn rogers is second with a 191.29 average and 1.329 total pins.
 
The SWAC regular season title will be determined at the SWAC East Round Up in D'Iberville, Miss., on Feb. 2-4.
