ATLANTA, Ga. | Alabama State pounded out 13 hits on its way to a 14-4 run-rule victory over Fort Valley State in the final game of the HBCU Collegiate Softball Invitational on Sunday afternoon.

Alabama State (3-6) got multiple hits from three different players including
Zoee Disroe who finished 2-for-4 with three runs scored and four RBI, including a three-run home run. She was joined by
Kindall DeRamus who finished 3-for-4 with a pair of runs scored and
Kendall Smiley who finished 2-for-3 with a pair of runs scored.

Charity Bibbs picked up the win relief, working 1.1 scoreless innings with a pair of strikeouts.

How It Happened
- (T1) DeRamus and Smiley pulled off a double steal with Smiley scoring the game's first win before Disroe hit a sacrifice fly to right to score DeRamus, Alabama State 2-0.
- (B1) Leah Leonard singled to score Mariah Williams, Alabama State 2-1.
- (B2) Fort Valley State took advantage of a fielding error to tie the game, 2-2.
- (B3) Leonard reached on another fielding error to score Williams, Fort Valley State 3-2.
- (T5) Jaeda Gardner doubled to left and scored on an error to tie the game before DeRamus doubled to center to score Smiley. The inning continued when Elizabeth Williams singled to center to score Brooke Ramsey to extend the lead to two runs before Lindsy Smith connected on a two-run single to center. The Lady Hornets added a pair of runs on a single by Alana Scott and a fielding error off the bat of Gardner. Following an RBI single by Smiley, Disroe connected on a three-run home run to center, Alabama State 14-3.
- (B5) Leonard connected on a solo home run to end the scoring, Alabama State 14-4.
