PRATTVILLE, Ala. | Alabama State led from start to finish at the 2024 ASU Spring Classic at Capital Hill on the RTJ Trail this weekend, pulling away to win by 21 strokes over second-place UAPB on Monday.

The Hornets led by 16 strokes after the opening round over Chicago State after firing a 302, before a low final round of 311 helped pull away for the final total of 37-over (613). They finished ahead of UAPB at 58-over (634), Chicago State at 61-over (637), and Western Illinois at 63-over (639).

Miguel Ilas came back from four shots down following the opening round to fire a 2-over (74) on Monday to end up tied for low medalist honors with Jose Berenguel of UAPB at 6-over (150).
Quade Woods battled back to climb the leaderboard in the final round after a 7-over opening round to finish at 9-over (153) and in fourth place.

The Hornets had three more players finish in the top 10 including
Bishop Stringer who shot the low round of the day at even-par (72) to finish seventh at 11-over (155), while first-round
Gonzalo Moreno fell to eighth overall at 12-over (156).
Ignacio Puente rounded out the top 10 with a 13-over (157) to finish tied for ninth.
