MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Alabama State dropped its only game of the day at the HBCU Celebration Classic to Tennessee State 8-0 at the Barbara Williams Softball Complex on Saturday afternoon.
 
Alabama State (6-7) was held to just one hit in the loss picked up by 
Jaeda Gardner. 
Charity Bibbs (3-4) suffered the loss working 3.2 innings in the start, allowing seven runs (only one earned) on nine hits.
 
How It Happened 
	- (T1) Ryia Traylor reached on a fielding error, allowing Anayah Baker-Rowell to score the game's first run, Tennessee State 1-0.
- (T4) Alexi Woods reached on a throwing error on a sacrifice bunt attempt allowing Nahtali Simpson and Trayler to score before a double by Onnika Spencer. They added another run on an RBI single by Laila Armstrong before a double steal allowed Jasmine Blackburn to steal home. The inning continued with a double off the bat of Peyton Fointno drove in another run and a single by Baker-Rowell drove in another and forced a pitching change, Tennessee State 7-0.
- (T5) Tennessee State added a run on a sacrifice fly for the final run of the game, Tennessee State 8-0.
