BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | For the first time since 2019, Alabama State hits the floor in the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Tournament facing top-seeded Grambling State on Wednesday.

Eighth-seeded Alabama State (13-18) and Grambling State (16-15) meet for the second time in five days after the Hornets claimed a double-overtime victory on Saturday to earn a spot in the tournament. The two are in the same half of the bracket with fourth-seeded Southern and fifth-seeded Bethune-Cookman who meet on Thursday.
