MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Alabama State split a pair of games in a doubleheader to Faulkner at the Barbara Williams Softball Complex on Tuesday night, dropping game one 6-4 before winning game two 7-5.

In the opener,
Kindall DeRamus and
Kendall Smiley each picked up a pair of hits and drove in a run.
Ashley Pye (2-4) suffered the loss working the final 2.0 innings allowing a pair of runs on four hits with three strikeouts.

Alabama State (11-14) bounced back in the nightcap with three hits from Smiley and
Alexia Denby with each driving in a pair of runs.
JaNiyah Boykin added a pair of hits in the win.
Charity Bibbs (5-7) picked up the win working 3.0 innings allowing two runs (one earned) on two hits with three strikeouts.

How It Happened (Game 1)
- (B3) DeRamus tripled to left to score Jaeda Gardner before scoring on a Smiley single, Alabama State 2-0.
- (T4) Ivey Hill doubled to score Gracie Pittman, Alabama State 2-1.
- (T5) Pittman connected on a three-run home run to give the Eagles the lead, Faulkner 4-2.
- (B5) Bibbs singled to score DeRamus before scoring on a fielding error, 4-4.
- (T7) Erika Mitchell doubled down the line to score a pair, Faulkner 6-4.
How It Happened (Game 2)
- (B3) Smiley singled through the left side to score a run before Denby scored on a throwing error after a Smiley run, Alabama State 3-0.
- (B4) JaNiyah Boykin doubled down the left field line to score Lauryn Maher before Smiley tripled through the right side to score Boykin, Alabama State 5-0.
- (T5) Madelyn Beck connected on a sacrifice fly before Mitchell singled down the left field line to drive in Chloe Davidson. The Eagles added another run a bases loaded walk and a fielding error, 5-5.
- (B6) Denby doubled to right center to drive in a pair, Alabama State 7-5.
