Aliyah Williams Named SWAC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week

Montgomery, Ala. | Alabama State University senior Aliyah Williams has been named the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week following her standout performance at the Montevallo Falcon Classic.

Williams turned in a season-best performance Friday, finishing second overall in the women's race with a time of 18:44.3. The strong showing paced the Hornets and marked Williams' best time of the season.

Williams' runner-up finish highlighted another strong outing for Alabama State as the Hornets continued their 2026 cross country season.
