Hornets Bowling Heads to Fort Worth for Bulldog Classic

MONTGOMERY, Ala. — The Alabama State University women's bowling team continues its 2025–26 campaign this weekend, traveling to Fort Worth, Texas, to compete in the Bulldog Classic hosted by Louisiana Tech University. The three-day event will take place November 7–9 at Cityview Lanes, featuring a strong 16-team field that includes several nationally ranked programs.

The Hornets will face a deep lineup of competition that features Vanderbilt, Nebraska, Sam Houston, Wichita State, and Arkansas State, along with SWAC members Southern University, Prairie View A&M, Texas Southern, Florida A&M, and Jackson State.

The tournament opens Friday with five Baker matches to determine seeding. On Saturday, teams will roll through five traditional team games, followed by Sunday's bracket play, consisting of best-of-seven Baker match play rounds to crown the tournament champion. Trophies will be awarded to the top two teams, and individual honors—including the All-Tournament Team and Most Valuable Player—will be based on the highest averages across five team games.

Cityview Lanes will feature a synthetic Pro Anvil Gen 2 surface and the Kegel Flex oiling system, using the "Fire" conditioner with a 45-foot modified lane pattern designed to challenge accuracy and lane adjustments throughout the weekend.

The Bulldog Classic marks the final event on the Hornets' 2025 fall schedule before the team returns to action in January.
