Albama State Bowling Stays Alive at SWAC Tournament

ARLINGTON, Texas | Alabama State University Bowling captured two wins on Saturday to advance to the final day of the Southwestern Athletic Conference Bowling Tournament.
 
The SWAC Regular Season Champions will need wins over Southern University and Prairie View on Sunday to repeat as SWAC Tournament Champions.
 
Alabama State won two elimination matches, taking down Southern University 2-0 to open the day before eliminating rival Alabama A&M 2-0 to advance to Sunday.
 
Lyric O'Steen finished second in the individual standings to earn SWAC All-Tournament honors for the second straight year.  O'Steen had 434 pins, just four pins behind Rose Ugbinada of Alabama A&M (438).
 
Olivia Miller finished sixth with 405 total pins, followed by Jenna Knight in 19th with 348 pin falls.
 
Nikia Thomas placed 23 with 335 pins, and Payton Hartgove finished 27th with 318 pins.
