The Alabama State University Cheerleaders attended camp July 26–28 in Louisville, Kentucky, and returned with standout honors and a bid to nationals.
-
All‑American Selections: Zariah Bone, a freshman, and Jazmyn Robinson, a sophomore, were named All-Americans—an honor given to athletes who demonstrate elite tumbling and stunting skills. Selection does not involve performance routines but is based solely on executing these advanced technical elements.
-
At‑Large Silver Bid: The team was awarded a Silver At‑Large Bid by the camp staff based on their overall performance throughout the camp. This bid qualifies the Hornets for early registration to Nationals in April, with a discounted rate that supports their ongoing fundraising efforts.
Head Coach Porsha Redd praised the team's early progress:
"The team did a wonderful job at camp. They had only been together not even two weeks. So for them to execute on the skills at camp shows the promise for the year."
