MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Alabama State University ace Kohana Pousson was awarded the Southwestern Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week on Thursday, Feb. 26, 2026. 

Pousson earned HBCU Softball Classic All-Tournament Team honors, making four appearances, going 2-0 with one save last weekend. The Tampa, Fla., native posted a 1.29 ERA over 16.1 innings pitched, notching 24 strikeouts against one walk while allowing three runs on four hits.

She tossed a complete-game, one-hit shutout with 12 strikeouts against one walk versus Alcorn State. She followed that up with a complete game with seven strikeouts against one walk and yielded three runs on three hits in a win over South Carolina State. Pousson tossed two innings with four strikeouts to close out a 6-4 win over Tuskegee in the tournament finale.
