ASU collected its first run in the fourth following four consecutive singles. Boshia Richardson's single capped the hot hitting that also included hits from Ayesha Famble, Ja'Vonna Grimsley and Mercedes Frazier.

In the sixth, W Golson singled and stole a base before scoring on an error on a bunt by Grimsley. Richardson doubled home Frazier later in the frame to account for the game-winning score.

Richardson and Golson both went 2-for-3 at the plate to pace the Hornets offense while Talley and Al Williams each finished with two hits to lead the Lady Tigers.
