The Alabama State University bowling team finished seventh at the Bethune-Cookman Wildcat Invitational Sunday afternoon. ASU went 0-3 on the day in the best four out of seven baker's matches.
“We will have a lot to improve on the next two weeks before hosting our first ever tournament,” head coach
Andrew Chatmon stated. “Ending the weekend with a 7-5 record, after starting 7-2 is very disappointing.”
The Lady Hornets gifted wins to host team Bethune-Cookman by a total pin fall of 1385-1367, Prairie View by a total pin fall of 847-711, and Florida A&M with a total pin fall of 1194-1170.
In the first match, Alabama State as a team averaged a total pin fall of 195.286 against B-CU 197.857. Match two, the Lady Hornets averaged a 177.75 to PVA&M's 211.75 and in match three of the day, ASU averaged a total pin fall of 167.143 to FAMU's 170.571.
Alabama State returns to the hardwood Saturday and Sunday, November 10-11 to host its first ever ASU Hornet Classic at Woodmere Brunswick Lanes.
