GULF SHORES, Ala. – The Alabama State women's golf team completed play Tuesday in the UAB Fall Beach Blast at the Peninsula Golf and Racquet Club.
For the second straight day, the Lady Hornets posted a team score of 322 in the 12-team field to finish with a score of 644 on the par-72 6,060-yard course.
Dismary Marquez shot four-over 76 on Tuesday to finish with a score of 155.
Brooklyn Kraakman shot 160, followed by
Mia Campbell (162), Shannon Spinuzzi (167),
Janelle Kraakman (173) and
Darlene Raymond (176).
"During both rounds, we had two golfers to shoot in the 70s," head coach
Dr. Gary Grandison said of Marquez (79-76),
Brooklyn Kraakman (opening-round 76), and Campbell (final-round 78). "Although our ladies played hard, our team scores are not acceptable. We must improve in areas we have discussed as a team."
The Lady Hornets return to action November 9-10 in the Savannah State Invitational.
