GADSDEN, Ala. | Alabama State finds itself in seventh place after the opening round of the Chris Banister Golf Classic at the RTJ at Silver Lakes.
As a team, the Lady Hornets finished the day with a 56-over (344) and find themselves behind Tennessee Tech in sixth place and North Alabama in fifth overall.
Katie Robinson (American Canyon, Calif.) leads the individuals for the Lady Hornets with an 8-over (80) to place in her a tie for 26th overall, while
Teresa Diez Dorta (Santa Cruz De Tenerife, Spain) shot an opening round 11-over (83) to place her in the top 40.
Iman Adams (Cape Town, South Africa) shot an opening round 14-over (86) for Alabama State.
The tournament continues with second round play on Monday and final round play on Tuesday.
