BIRMINGHAM, Ala. |Â Alabama State had a combined nine golfers finish in the top 15 after the opening round of the SWAC Fall Invitational on Monday.
Teresa Diez Dorta (Santa Cruz De Tenerife, Spain) leads the women's side for Alabama State with a seven-over that has her in atop the standings, followed
Katie Robinson (American Canyon, Calif.) shot a 12-over that has her fifth.
Hallie Bridgers (Baltimore, Md.) is tied for seventh with 15-over, while
Iman Adams (Cape Town, South Africa) and
McKenzie LeDuff (Lake Charles, La.) are tied for ninth after identical 16-over scores.
Alabama State finds itself second overall in the men's standings after all five golfers finished in the top 15, shooting an opening round 10-over (298) on Monday.

Gonzalo Moreno (Seville, Spain) and
Bishop Stringer (Cecil, Ala.) find themselves tied for second in the tournament after identical opening rounds of one-over par (73), while
Thomas Caddell (Vance, Ala.),
Thacher Neal (Kingsland, Ga.) and
Ty Roberts (Canyon, Texas) are all tied for 15th overall with opening rounds of four-over at 76.
Play continues Tuesday in Birmingham for the final day of the SWAC Fall Invitational.
