MONTGOMERY, Ala. |Â Alabama State will face off against Southern for their first Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) road series this weekend in Baton Rouge, Louisiana Friday afternoon with first pitch scheduled for 3 pm.
Alabama State (5-17) is looking to rebound after losing two straight games to conference foe Texas Southern last weekend. The Jaguars enter the weekend after winning one of three games against Alabama A&M in Huntsville.

Alex Massie is hitting .264 with 14 hits, including three doubles.Â
