MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Alabama State returns home Tuesday evening looking to get back on track, hosting North Alabama at the Barbara Williams Softball Complex.
First pitch is scheduled for 5 pm, and attendance inside the facility is limited to those on the Player Pass List due to COVID-19 protocols and socially distant seating. Concessions will be available inside the facility and will remain cashless, and Alabama State is a mask-mandatory campus including all of its athletic venues.
The meeting between North Alabama and Alabama State (6-19) will be the third this season between the two with the Lions winning the first two. They first met back in 2019 and North Alabama has won all three meetings since.
Jaeda Gardner leads Alabama State at the plate, hitting .315 with 17 hits including a double, while also scoring eight runs and driving in four more.
Alex Massie is hitting .267 on the year with seven runs batted in, while
Kindall DeRamus leads the Lady Hornets with eight runs batted in and 13 stolen bases (14 attempts) on the year.
Skyler Sullivan (6-6) leads Alabama State in the circle with a 4.53 earned run average and 38 strikeouts.
The game is the first of seven home games (out of the next eight) for Alabama State, and it will be carried on the Hornet Sports Network.
