BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | Alabama State will return to the track for their first indoor meets of 2022 this weekend in Birmingham as they take part in the Blazer Invitational (Jan. 14) and Vulcan Invitational (Jan. 15) both hosted by UAB at the Birmingham CrossPlex.
The throwing events begin at 10 a.m. with the men's and women's shot put events along with men's high jump and long jump events, followed by the women's pole vault all before noon.
The remaining field events start at 3 p.m. on Friday, including the men's and women's triple jump, men's pole vault and the women's high jump events.
The track events are scheduled to start at 12 noon, with the preliminary events for both the men's and women's 60-meter hurdles followed by the mile run event. The 600-meter events begin at 1:30 p.m., followed by the men's final for the hurdles at 2 p.m.
Next up is the men's and women's 100-meter events at 2:30 p.m., followed by the 300-meter, 500-meter and 3000-meter events for both sides.
The events wrap up after the 4x200-meter relay beginning at 5 p.m. and the 4x400-meter 30 minutes after to conclude the day.
