Diaz Dorta in First Place, Lady Hornets Golf in Second Place at SWAC Fall Invitational

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | The Alabama State women's golf team finished the opening round in second place out of four teams in competition at the Southwestern Athletic Conference Fall Invitational at Oxmoor Valley Golf Course.

The Lady Hornets shot an opening round of 337 as a team.

Teresa Diaz Dorta shot the low round of the day after carding an opening round of 77 (+5) to lead the field. Thayia Kittiyanaruewat gave the Lady Hornets a boost after shooting a round of 82 (+10) to finish day one in a tie for third place.

Iman Adams competed her way to a tie for 11th place after firing a round of 87 (+15) followed by her teammate Katie Robinson in a tie for 15th place after carding a round of 91 (+19) to finish the day.

The final round is slated for tomorrow (Nov. 15) at Oxmoor Valley Golf Course in Birmingham, Alabama.
