TALLAHASSEE, Fla. | Alabama State looks to end a three-game Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) losing streak on Saturday afternoon on the road at Florida A&M.

Alabama State (6-19, 5-8 SWAC) and Florida A&M (10-14, 8-5 SWAC) met earlier this season at the Dunn-Oliver Acadome, with the Rattlers able to pull out a one-point victory after a last second shot came up short for the Hornets.  The last time the two played, Trace Young (Owensboro, Ky.) led all scorers with 29 points on his way to earning conference honors.

The game is scheduled to tip at 4 pm (ET) on Saturday.

The Hornets currently find themselves tied for ninth place in the conference standings with Bethune-Cookman and are one game back of three teams – Jackson State, Alabama A&M, and Prairie View A&M – for the sixth spot in the standings with five games remaining in the regular season.

• With five games remaining in the regular season, Alabama State finds itself one game out of the top eight with games against Florida A&M, Bethune-Cookman, Alabama A&M, Grambling State, and Southern remaining.
• Alabama State leads the all-time series with Florida A&M, 22-13; however, Florida A&M leads the series in Tallahassee 5-3.
• The Hornets have dropped three games at the buzzer this season – UAPB, Prairie View A&M, and Florida A&M – and are just 4.6 seconds away from picking up three wins and reversing their record.
• Alabama State has started 17 different lineups this season, one more than Memphis heading into the week for the nation's lead.
• Young is the lone player in double figures for Alabama State this season (11.8), however Kenny Strawbridge (Rockford, Ill.) is just short of double figures at 9.6 per game. Both Gerald Liddell (Cibolo, Texas) and Isaiah Range (Cedar Hill, Texas) are averaging 9.4 per game.
