FLOWOOD, Miss. | Alabama State shot a final round 327 to finish second at the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) women's golf championships behind Texas Southern. The Hornets finished the tournament at 102-over par 966 while Texas Southern finished at 72-over 936. Alabama State finished ahead of Prairie View A&M (136-over 1000) and Bethune-Cookman during the week.
Katie Robinson (American Canyon, Calif.) finished third overall to earn all-conference honors after a final round 8-over 80. She finished the tournament shooting 20-over par 236 to finish four shots behind Kennedi Lee of Texas Southern and eventual low medalist Dili Sitanonth of Texas Southern at 14-over par.Â
Teresa Diez Dorte (Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Spain) earned second-team all-conference honors after finishing seventh overall with a 25-over 241.
She was joined on the second team by
Tia Kimbrough (Bellville, Ill.) who finished ninth overall at 31-over and
Iman Adams (Cape Town, South Africa) in 10th at 33-over.
Hallie Bridgers (Baltimore, Md.) finished the tournament in 15th overall.
