REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. - The Alabama State women's golf team opened up their 2022 campaign at the Hornet Classic at The Creek hosted by Delaware State at Kings Creek Country Club in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware on September 19, 2022. The Lady Hornets finished the first two rounds in eighth place out of a field of 11 teams. As a team, Alabama State carded opening rounds of 307 and 314 for a day one total of 621.
Thayia Kittiyanaruewat leads the way for the five Lady Hornets in competition after finishing the day tied for 17th after two rounds. Kittiyanaruewat carded an opening round of 74 (+3) and second round of 79 (+8) for two-round total of 153.
Teresa Diaz Dorte finished the day tied for 19th after firing an opening round of 79 (+8) and 4-over round of 75 wrap-up play with 154 total strokes.
Franca Siebeneck recorded an opening round of 77 (+6) and a second round of 80 (+9) to finish with a two-round total of 157 and tied for 29th. Likewise, her teammate Katie Robinson shot a 6-over opening round and second round of 80 (+9) to finish tied for 29th.
Iman Adams rounds out the Lady Hornets in play as she finished the day in 52nd place with an opening round of 81 (+10) and a second round of 86 (+16).
The Lady Hornets will play the final round of the Hornet Classic at The Creek tomorrow September 20, 2022, at the Kings Creek Country Club. Full results can be found on Golfstat Live Scoring.
