Two Lady Hornets in Top-10 in Greensboro

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Following two rounds of play, the Alabama State women's golf team sits in third place out of five teams at the Lady Aggie Invitational hosted by North Carolina A&T at Bryan Park Golf Course. ASU has two individuals in the top 10 after day one.

The Lady Hornets shot an opening round of 302 and 296 to sit at 22-over after 36 holes.

Sophomore Katie Robinson led the way for Alabama State, firing an opening round of 73 with a 75 to follow up to finish in a tie for seventh place. Newcomer Franca Siebeneck gave the Hornets a boost as well after wrapping up play in a 10th place tie after carding rounds of 77 and 72.

Senior Teresa Diez Dorta sits in a tie for 14th place after shooting rounds of 77 and 74 for a 7-over performance. 

Newcomer Thayia Kittiyanaruewat finds herself in 19th place after a 79 in round one followed by a 75 in round two.

Iman Adams carded opening rounds of 75 and 82 to tie for 21st place.

The final round is set for tomorrow at Bryan Park Players Course in Greensboro, N.C.
