DULUTH, Ga. | Alabama State shot a final round 326 to hold off North Carolina Central for a one-shot victory in its final fall tournament at the 2023 Bridgestone HBCU Invitational hosted by the BCGCA at TPC Sugarloaf.

The Lady Hornets led by two strokes after the opening round of the tournament and held off North Carolina Central despite giving up a stroke. Individually,
Lucia Ibanez finished second overall with a 10-over (154) finishing just two shots behind Trinity Ahing of North Carolina Central who finished at 8-over (152).

Teresa Diez Dorta finished fourth at 15-over (159) after turning an opening round 84 into a final round 75, while
Thayika Kittiyanaruewat finished seventh at 20-over (164).

By winning the tournament, the Lady Hornets have been invited to a Player Development Camp hosted by the PGA Tour at TPC Sawgrass at the turn of the calendar year.
