REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. | Teresa Diez Dorta finished sixth overall to lead Alabama State at the 2023 Hornet Classic hosted by Delaware State at Kings Creek Country Club this week.
 
Diez Dorta finished at 3-over (145) to finish just three shots behind the duo of Margot Rouquettem and Stefania Fedun. She was also just one shot back of the top five behind Chantel El Chaib. Lucia Ibanez finished tied for 21st overall at 12-over (154) for the Lady Hornets, while Thayika Kittiyanaruewat finished tied for 41st overall.
 
As a team, Alabama State finished eighth in the tournament seven shots behind seventh-place Delaware State.
