MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Alabama State University men's tennis earned the its first ever ITA National Ranking entering the poll as the 75th ranked team in the country this week. 

Alabama State defeated No. 70 Dartmouth 4-3 last week, which helped the Hornets move into the rankings.

The Hornets are 10-1 overall and 5-0 in the SWAC, seeking to win its third straight SWAC Regular Season Championship. 

The Hornets have won the SWAC Tournament in five of the last six years and has suffered only one SWAC loss in six years. That loss came against the 2021 champion Alabama A&M SWAC Tournament championship match.
