D'IBERVILLE, Miss. | The Alabama State women's bowling finished 12-2 in the SWAC Round Up 2 to claim a share of the SWAC Regular Season title with Southern University on Sunday.
 
The Hornets went 21-6 over the SWAC Round West and East Round Ups to claim the third SWAC Regular Season title under head coach Andrew Chatmon.
 
Alabama State had 25,899 pin falls and a 924.96 average over the 28 matches.
 
Alabama State's Jenna Knight, Olivia Miller and Lyric O'Steen landed in the top 10 in the overall individual standings.
 
Knight knocked down 5,497 pins for a 196.32 average to claim second overall and lay claim to freshman of the year honors.
 
Miller finished fifth with 5,397 pin falls and a 192.39 average and O'Steen claimed sixth with 5,273 pins and a 188.22
 
Payton Hartgove totaled 5,101 pins and a 182.18 average to place 15^th while Nikia Thomas as 31st with 46,41 pins and a 165.74 average.
 
Alabama State returns to the lanes in the Mid Winter Classic hosted by Arkansas State on February 14-16 in Jonesboro Arkansas.
 
The SWAC Bowling Championship Tournament is scheduled for March 21-23 in Arlington, Texas.
