Williams Sixth, Hornets Fourth at Bison Invitational

GAINESVILLE, Fla. | Kierra Williams finished sixth to pace the Alabama State women's golf team to a fourth-place finish at the Bison Invitational on Tuesday.

Lucia Parada and Bamboo Kittiyanareuewat tied for 14th to join Williams in the top 15. Williams finished tied for sixth with Youngstown State's Neeranuch Prajunpanich with a plus-11 224, while Parada and Kittiyanareuewat cared a 17-over, 230 for the event.
 
Carmen Fletcher finished tied for 28th with a 241 (+28) and Yaiza Fernandez finished 34th with a 247 (+34). Inman Shaw competed as an individual, finishing 38th with a 250 (+37).

Queens-Charlotte (880) claimed the team title followed by Howard (886) and Youngstown State (906) and Alabama State (925). North Carolina Central and Monmouth (949) tied for fifth followed by Satine Francis (1003), Holy Cross (MA) (1005), Bethune-Cookman (1042) and Maryland Eastern Shore (1047).

Grece Vetter (Queens-Charlotte) finished with a one-under 212 to bring home top medalist honors.

Howard Univerist took the next three sports with Kendall Jackson (Howard) taking second with two-over, 215 followed by Marley Franklin (220+7) in third and Paris Fieldings (221/+8). Jillian Fatkin (Queens) rounded out the top five with a nine over 229.
