Montevallo, Ala. – September 15, 2025 – The Alabama State women's cross country team captured the team championship at the Falcon Invite, led by senior Ann Badawi's individual title in the women's 5K.

Badawi crossed the line in 18:10.14 to take first overall, while senior Aliyah Williams finished second with a time of 18:10.47, giving the Lady Hornets a one-two sweep at the top.

Alabama State placed four runners inside the top 10, as senior Teresa Gallegos (19:02.50) finished seventh and junior Shone Walter (19:06.24) earned eighth. Sophomore Alisha Boyer (27th, 20:27.13) and senior Taisha Benjamin (54th, 22:29.24) rounded out the scoring effort.

On the men's side, junior Jon Coulter led the Hornets in the 8K with a time of 28:03.08 for 40th overall. Junior Ainsley Campbell (61st, 29:03.67), sophomore Lord Odonkor (99th, 31:11.24), and junior Jordan Saunders (103rd, 31:46.68) completed the lineup.
