Alabama State Men's Golf Wraps Up Play at UAB's GMAC Invitational

ONEONTA, Ala. – Alabama State University men's golf closed competition at the GMAC Invitational, hosted by UAB at Limestone Springs Golf Club, finishing 13th in the team standings. The Hornets carded rounds of 305, 311, and 307 for a three-round total of 923 (+83) on the par-70, 6,860-yard course.

Senior Telmo Sueiro paced Alabama State, tying for 52nd overall. He posted rounds of 74, 73, and 76 to finish with a 223 (+13).  Quade Woods followed, finishing tied for 69th at 229 (+19) after rounds of 75, 78, and 76.

Wesley Bairros Rodrigues placed 73rd with a total score of 235 (+25), while Alberto Banos finished one stroke behind at 236 (+26). Chotithuch Wangpaibulkit rounded out the Hornets' lineup, finishing 75th with a 244 (+34).

North Alabama claimed the team title with a three-round score of 842 (+2), while Queens-Charlotte's Ed Davis took individual medalist honors at 202 (-8).

Alabama State returns to action at its next fall tournament looking to build on the experience gained at Limestone Springs.
