Alabama State Men’s Golf Opens Fall at Bryan National Collegiate

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Alabama State University men's golf teed off its fall season this weekend at the Bryan National Collegiate, hosted by UNC Greensboro at Bryan Park Golf Club.

The Hornets battled against a strong field that featured nationally ranked programs, closing the event in a tie for 13th place with Samford. The tournament showcased top competition, including team champion Wake Forest, which finished at 14-under-par.

Freshman Telmo Sueiro led Alabama State with a solid showing, carding a team-best finish in his collegiate debut. He was followed by Alberto Banos, while Robert Woods and Chotithuch Wangpaibulkit each turned in matching rounds of 82. Marcus Leonard rounded out the Hornets' lineup.

"This was a tough but valuable opening test for our team," Head Coach [Coach's Name] said. "Competing against programs like Wake Forest and Wofford early in the year gives us a chance to see where we need to improve. I was proud of how our young players stepped into this atmosphere."
