Alabama State completed play at the Arizona State Marriott Invitational falling to host Arizona State 3-0 to
open today's play and fell to Cal Poly 3-1 in their final game of the invite.
"This was a great opportunity for us to come out and play in a tournament of this magnitude," Head Coach
Penny Lucas-White said. "I saw our team at times play with each team and that includes going head to head with one of the top teams in the nation."
"I also saw a team that has a lot of growing up to do. We have got to do a better job of staying focused for an entire game. In each game of this tournament I would see us reel off four or five consecutive points and then give those points back with bad decisions and that just cannot happen."
