MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Alabama State was down to their last strike in their matchup with Texas Southern, trailing 3-2 in the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Tournament, before
Skyler Sullivan delivered a two-run single to left center field to score a pair of runs.Â
That hit gave Alabama State a 4-3 lead with two outs in the seventh, but the game was halted at that point as heavy storms arrived in central Alabama. The tarp was pulled in the top of the seventh inning, and the game will resume at 8 am Friday morning at the Barbara Wiliams Softball Complex.
The remainder of the tournament will resume at the conclusion of that contest, with both teams being forced into two games on the day.
