Adams Wins SWAC Newcomer of the Week

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Southwestern Athletic Conference has tabbed Alabama State freshman Brook Adams newcomer of the week after recording 43 assists and nine aces across three matches this past weekend at the SWAC Cluster.

Adams earned newcomer of the week after registering 11 assists in a win over Texas Southern, nine assists in a win over Alcorn State, and finally 23 assists and nine aces in a win against Southern this past Monday.

The Lady Hornets are 8-2 in their last 10 matches and 6-1 in conference play.

Alabama State women's volleyball puts their three-game streak on the line as they head to Tuscaloosa on Friday (Oct. 14) to take on the Crimson Tide at 6 p.m.
