LEXINGTON, Ky. | Alabama State outside hitter
Jada Rhodes earned another award for the 2023 volleyball season as she was selected honorable mention on the AVCA Southeast Region team.

Rhodes, the Player of the Year in the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC), was named First Team All-SWAC after a year that she recorded her 1,000th career kill. She is fourth all-time in kills at Alabama State with 1,027 for her career. She is also 10th in digs, and 14th in service aces all-time at Alabama State.

The senior outside hitter recorded a team-leading 332 kills, averaging 3.07 assists per set while hitting .220. She also recorded 29 service aces and 187 digs (averaging 1.73 per set). In conference play, Rhodes recorded 214 kills, averaging 3.96 per set. She also hit .313 and recorded 12 service aces and 88 digs (averaging 1.63 per set).

Rhodes recorded 15 matches in double figures kills, including a season-high 22 against Prairie View A&M for the multiple-time SWAC Offensive Player of the Week award winner. She also had two of the best attack percentages in the conference this season.
