Cobb named SWAC Offensive Player of the Week

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | Alabama State senior outside hitter A'Nylah Cobb was named the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Offensive Player of the Week for her performance at the Wildcat Classic, announced by the conference office on Tuesday afternoon.
 
Cobb finished the week with 31 total kills including a pair of matches with double-digit kills in Tucson. She recorded 13 kills each against New Mexico State and Long Beach State in the Lady Hornets' first two matches of the tournament, setting a new season-high in the process.
 
She also hit .423 against New Mexico State and .321 against Long Beach State on her way to earning the award. Cobb finished the tournament with five kills in a loss to Arizona, gibing her 100 kills for the year. She also recorded a pair of digs over the weekend.
