BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | Alabama State University third baseman Cristian Lopez was named the Southwestern Athletic Conference Co-hitter of the Week by the league office. 

Lopez hit .438 going 7-for-16 at the plate with two runs scored two doubles, one triple and seven RBI. He slugged .668 with a .471 on base perentage over four games on the weekend.

Lopez was 3-for-4 with five RBI a double and a triple in the season opening16-5 win over Valparaiso.
